It’s that time again!  We’ve finished up book two on our book club reading list this year – the fantastic Novel by J. Ryan Stradal “Kitchens of the Great Midwest.” Can I just say, I freaking loved this book!  I mean it has it all!  A little love, a dash of mystery and best of all a whole lotta FOOD!!

Since the book was such a treat (see what I did there?) and was filled with so much yummy inspiration we decided to take a page out of the book (LITERALLY!) and make some of the recipes that were included in the read for our book club gathering.  Our table was graces with both French Onion Soup and the amazing Pat Prager Bars filled to the brim with sugary, chocolaty, peanut buttery goodness.  I honestly could eat the whole pan by myself.  But then I would die. And who would lead book club then? But I digress.  So we cooked up a storm, drank up some wine, and chatted about our delightful read!
