I’m not…dainty. I mean, hello, may I state the obvious for you? YOU’RE WELCOME.
My weight isn’t something I generally talk about. I don’t know if I would say that I’m ashamed of it, but I do know I’m certainly not comfortable with it right now. If I’m being honest, I would like to be thinnER but I do not have skinny goals and, no, I do not care how skinny FEELS – especially when you are comparing it to how good something TASTES.
Just stop with all that.
No really, stop it.
Besides, that’s not what I wanted to talk about anyway.
Over the past few weeks, #TeamCCM has been training for training. Meaning, we are getting our bodies used to training for when it’s time to actually start training for the CIM relay. We’ve all had our own versions of some pretty stupid weeks when getting out and doing ANYTHING is next to impossible. But then we’ve had weeks, like this week, where, hey…we’re doing alright you guys! (Even if that means a 6am run on a SUNDAY. Who are we?!?) Being a part of this group has helped get me out the door. Sarah has to yell at me sometimes, but having some pretty rad ladies on your side when it’s hard to get back into the swing of things is kinda the best.
Because I really, really need this.
My mind and my heart and, yes, my waistline need this. And I absolutely know that being a part of a team and holding myself accountable is what I need to keep this going.

Believe it or not, there are a little less than 10 weeks until Thanksgiving. From right now until that turkey comes out of your oven, we are challenging you to run or walk 50 total miles. That could mean 1 mile every week day for the next 10 weeks. Or a couple miles a few days a week. You decide. But all of us having a goal to make it happen is just what we need to stay focused and remember that our health is important too.
So for the next 10 weeks it is ON. But we want to be a part of your goal and we want YOU to be a part of ours. Starting TODAY, take us with you as you go. Document your runs/walks (the scenery, trails, your running shoes, yourSELVES running) on Instagram or Twitter (or via your Nike+ app if you use it and you share your runs on social) using the hashtag: #CCMruns50. We want to celebrate YOU and YOUR GOALS and we just might have a few tricks up our sleeves that involve YOU winning prizes. Not joking.
