I love where we live.
And the Greater Sacramento Area is a wonderful place to raise a family and be a mom.
Being a mom is the best and hardest job out there. And, well…I don’t know of any other job out there where you have to pay to work. (Braces are expensive.) But I also know how much I love being a mom. My husband and I have two beautiful daughters who keep us ridiculously busy. But even at the craziest of times, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
A few months ago, an idea started brewing about a way to share the love of being a mom with other moms in the area. We have an amazing network of mamas around here. And those mamas have brilliant ideas and experiences that need to be shared. There are dreams of how to help and support this fabulous capital city community. And we just needed a place to make that happen.
A place like Cap City Moms.
Over the next few days and weeks, we will be creating a place to let you know about local events and holiday happenings. There will be tales of motherhood triumphs and trip-ups from some of the coolest moms on the planet. We’ll even have ideas as you try and figure out what the hell you’re going to feed your kids for dinner and how to give yourself a time-out. We will also offer insight to the who’s who and where the best playgrounds and drivers-ed classes are in the capital city area and beyond.
And I’m really excited about it.
Quite honestly, I didn’t expect to feel so grateful for something that hasn’t even happened yet. As we get ready to start this amazing adventure, I had no idea that I would be so excited for an idea that gets to become a reality because there are wonderful people in my life that just know how to make awesome things happen.
I absolutely love this community.
And I just can’t wait to share it with you.
